Kelanjutan dari anime ( Fate strange Fake Spesial Whispers of Dawn ) Fate/strange Fake berpusat pada tiruan tak sempurna dari Perang Holy Grail yang berdasarkan dari Perang Holy Grail Ketiga di Fuyuki. Setelah selesainya Perang Grail Ketiga, organisasi Amerika dengan para penyihir yang bertolak belakang dengan Asosiasi Penyihir London, menggunakan data dari Perang Grail Fuyuki untuk merencanakan ritual mereka sendiri. Tujuh puluh tahun kemudian, mereka menggunakan kota Snowfield sebagai Tanah Suci untuk Perang Grail mereka sendiri. Tapi, mereka tak bisa mereplika setiap aspek dari ritual itu sepenuhnya, dan hanya bisa menjadi imitasi tanpa adanya kelas Saber dan mengizinkan pemanggilan Servant-Servant aneh karena tak jelasnya batasan “pahlawan” yang ditetapkan. Rohngall dan muridnya, Faldeus, telah dikirimkan oleh Asosiasi Penyihir untuk menyelidiki kota dan kondisi perang itu. Faldeus, seorang mata-mata Amerika, menembak Rohngall saat kedatangannya, meski dia tahu kalau Rohngall adalah boneka. Dia mengumumkan bahwa Perang Holy Grail mereka sedang dalam pengembangan dan asli, lalu memicu keributan di Clock Tower, dan dia ingin “mengiklankan” proyek tersebut pada Asosiasi.
